About the role

We are looking for a Senior Robotics Field Engineer (m/f/d) with work experience in Asia to join our fast-paced and dynamic Key Applications Team. This team within our Software Division focuses on the test and deployment of robotics applications to our customers' sites in China. At Agile Robots, we are at the forefront of innovation in robotics technology, and your role will be pivotal in delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation in diverse industries.

Your Responsibilities

• Setting up, troubleshooting and maintaining test setups
• Providing support for the deployment of our software product AgileCore
• Travelling frequently to our deployment sites, primarily China (25-40% of the time), to collaborate with on-site engineers in deploying and evaluating our solutions and collecting feedback on their usage for collaborating 
• Engaging in software and product development tasks, including bug-fixing and implementing 
• Participate in software development activities such as bug-fixing and implementing prototype features
• Actively facilitating communication between teams in Germany and China while also supporting project coordination efforts
• Coaching team members on a technical level

Essential Skills

• Robotics and Automation, Industrial Computer Science or Control Engineering background
• Min. 2 years of experience working in Asia
• Fluent C++ and Python skills
• Knowledge of machine learning and computer vision techniques for robotic applications.
• Experience with hardware and software integration for automation (PLC, sensors, camera, servos) and reading electrical schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in hardware and software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Business fluent English skills
• Willingness to travel internationally, mainly China (25-40% of the time)
• Comfortable working in an international team and dynamic startup

• Solid understanding of safety regulations and standards related to industrial automation
• Familiarity with CAD software for designing automation layouts and integration
• Experience in developing intelligent assembly processes for electronic components, or similar industries
