Als Senior Software Ingenieur (m/w/d) sind Sie verantwortlich für die Konzeption und Implementierung von Softwarelösungen im Bereich Computer Vision, 3D und Automatisierung. Mit Ihrem Fachwissen tragen Sie dazu bei, die Effizienz und Produktivität industrieller Prozesse unserer Kunden zu verbessern. Um dies zu gewährleisten, reisen Sie regelmäßig, im Umfang von ~ 40 % zu unseren Kunden und zur BÄR Automation GmbH in Gemmingen, in der Nähe von Heilbronn. (Die Agile Robots SE ist seit 2023 Mehrheitsgesellschafter der BÄR Automation GmbH.)
Alternativ sind wir auf offen für Kandidat:innen, die vornehmlich im Umkreis von Gemmingen oder Stuttgart situiert und bereit sind, regelmäßig zu unseren Kunden und ins Headquarter nach München zu reisen.

Ihre Aufgaben

Computer Vision und 3D-Bildgebung: Entwicklung und Implementierung von Computer-Vision-Algorithmen und -Modellen zur Extraktion aussagekräftiger Informationen aus visuellen Daten. Zusammenarbeit mit Software-Ingenieuren bei der Integration von Computer-Vision-Technologie in große Automatisierungssysteme. Optimierung von Bildverarbeitungsmodellen für Echtzeitleistung auf eingebetteten Geräten oder Webanwendungen
Industrielle Automatisierung: Zusammenarbeit mit cross-funktionalen Teams, um Automatisierungsbedürfnisse zu ermitteln und Lösungen zu entwickeln. Konzeption und Implementierung von industriellen Automatisierungssystemen zur Verbesserung von Effizienz und Produktivität. Durchführung von Machbarkeitsstudien und Kosten-Nutzen-Analysen im Kontext von Automatisierungsprojekten.
Software-Entwicklung: Coding unter Verwendung einschlägiger Programmiersprachen (z. B. Python, C++). Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Ingenieuren, um eine nahtlose Integration von Bildverarbeitungs- und Automatisierungskomponenten zu gewährleisten.
Dokumentation und Testing: Detaillierte Dokumentation für Computer-Vision-Algorithmen, Systemarchitektur und Automatisierungsprozesse. Entwicklung und Pflege automatisierter Testsuiten für bildverarbeitungsbezogene Funktionen
Kontinuierliches Lernen und Innovation: Sie bleiben Sie auf dem Laufenden über Fortschritte in den Bereichen Computer Vision, 3D-Bildgebung und Automatisierungstechnologien.

Ihr Profil

Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung mit 3D-Bildgebungstechnologien (z. B. LiDAR, Tiefensensoren, Stereo Vision)
Sie beherrschen Computer-Vision-Techniken, einschließlich Objekterkennung, Bildsegmentierung und Merkmalsextraktion
Sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse in Python und C++
Erfahrung mit Hardware- und KI-Softwarelösungen für die industrielle Automatisierung
Hochschulabschluss in Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Robotik oder einem verwandten Bereich
Reisebereitschaft im Umfang von min. 40 %
Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sowohl im Deutschen als auch Englischen
Sie zeichnen sich durch eine selbstständige, gründliche und teamorientierte Arbeitseinstellung aus

About the role

You will be part of the Industrial Automation Organization at Agile Robots SE (Germany). If you are passionate about robotics, have a knack for software vision components, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we invite you to join our team and play a key role in driving the success of our robot solutions. As a Software Engineer (Vision/3D) you are responsible for designing and implementing software solutions related to computer vision, 3D imaging, and automation. Your expertise will contribute to improving efficiency and productivity in industrial processes. In close collaboration with Sales, Production, and the Industrial Automation team you generate new value for our customers.

Your Responsibilities

Computer Vision and 3D Imaging: Develop and implement computer vision algorithms and models to extract meaningful information from visual data. Work with software engineers to integrate computer vision technology into large-scale automation systems. Optimize computer vision models for real-time performance on embedded devices or web applications
Industrial Automation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop solutions. Design and implement industrial automation systems to improve efficiency and productivity Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects
Software Development: Write efficient and reliable code using relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++). Collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of vision and automation components
Documentation and Testing: Create detailed documentation for computer vision algorithms, system architecture, and automation processes. Develop and maintain automated test suites for vision-related features
Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay informed about advancements in computer vision, 3D imaging, and automation technologies. Explore new tools, libraries, and techniques to enhance system performance and accuracy

Your Profile

You are fluent in English and German
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Proficiency in computer vision techniques, including object detection, image segmentation, and feature extraction.
Experience with 3D imaging technologies (e.g., LiDAR, depth sensors, stereo vision).
Strong programming skills in languages like Python, and C++
Previous experience in Hardware and AI-software solutions for industrial automation
Independent, thorough and team-oriented describes your attitude toward work
You are enthusiastic, a good communicator, highly motivated, and supportive
Available for travel up to 40%
