Working Student (m/f/d) Imaging Algorithm Evaluation and Training

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist with the evaluation of in-house-developed stereo imaging algorithms and selected open-source solutions.
  • Provide support for extending and maintaining our simulation dataset using a pre-defined data generation pipeline.
  • Contribute to training and fine-tuning stereo imaging models based on the generated dataset.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide feedback on algorithm performance and training outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve existing pipelines and documentation.
Essential Skills
  • Currently enrolled on a Bachelor's or Master's programme.
  • Available to work on-site at our Munich headquarters for 20 hours per week during the lecture period.
  • Hands-on experience of training visual perception models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Solid understanding of Vision Transformers (ViT) and their variants.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D vision concepts (e.g. depth estimation, point clouds or camera geometry).
  • Proficient in Python and familiar with standard machine learning workflows.
  • Independent, structured and reliable working style.
Beneficial Skills
  • Familiarity with simulation environments such as Blender, Unity, UE5, Isaac Sim and MuJoCo.
  • Contributions to open-source computer vision projects.
