About the role
The Strategic Sales (m/f/d) role serves as a key connector between Sales, R&D, and Operations, ensuring that customer needs and market insights directly influence product strategy and development. This position is responsible for shaping strategic customer roadmaps, aligning internal teams, and driving cross-functional initiatives that support long-term account growth. 

The role involves analyzing market trends, developing business cases, strengthening value propositions, and supporting go-to-market efforts. As a customer-facing strategic partner, the position builds strong relationships, represents the company at industry events, and plays a central role in steering strategic decision-making to maximize market opportunities and customer success.
Your Responsibilities
  • Act as the strategic link between Sales, R&D, and Operations, ensuring customer insights, market needs, and technology developments flow seamlessly into product and roadmap planning
  • Develop, own, and execute strategic customer roadmaps for key accounts, aligning customer needs with internal product development priorities
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by moderating and facilitating workshops, customer meetings, and internal strategy sessions
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support strategic decision-making
  • Shape and refine product value propositions based on customer insights and market intelligence.
  • Develop and implement account development plans that dovetail with company-wide sales, marketing, and product strategies
  • Independently prepare business cases, opportunity assessments, and strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to support go-to-market activities and ensure the successful adoption of new solutions
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to strengthen market presence and gather insights
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field; higher qualifications are a plus

  • Minimum of 2+ years in B2B sales (industrial automation, robotics, or related sectors); experience in strategy consulting is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks

  • Strong strategic thinking to translate customer needs and market trends into actionable plans

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and moderation skills

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities with a customer-centric mindset

  • High organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • An analytical and data-driven approach to assessing opportunities and risks

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity

  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, workshops, and events

  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
